About
Lunario is a table by Cini Boeri for Knoll. Oval top in tempered transparent crystal with base fixing plate in chromed sheet steel. The base has a chrome-plated elliptical shape with two counterweights to give the table stability (off-centre).

Cini Boeri
Italian designer (1924 - 2020)
Born in Milan on 19 June 1924, Cini Boeri graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 1951, where she later became a professor in the Faculty of Architecture. A pupil of GiĆ² Ponti, she began a long collaboration with Marco Zanuso, then began her professional career in 1963, dealing with civil architecture and industrial design. She designed houses, offices, museums and shops in Italy and abroad, and won numerous international awards, including the prestigious Compasso d’Oro in 1979.
She died on 9 September 2020.
The architect and designer Cini Boeri (1924-2020), stage name Maria Cristina Mariani Dameno, is considered one of the most important and influential female figures in post-war design. In architecture, her work focuses on the functionality of space and the psychological relationship between man and his environment. In the field of industrial design, Cini Boeri has created memorable pieces of furniture and furnishing accessories such as the Strips sofa, the Pecorelle armchair and the Ben Ben curved sofa for Arflex, the Bebop sofa for Poltrona Frau and the Lunario table for Gavina re-edition Knoll.
